Social skills, especially communication, are essential in health sciences, particularly in Pharmaceutical Sciences. These skills allow professionals of this area to provide a correct and effecient diagnosis or counseling to patients. Good communication skills, coupled with knowledge of treatment protocols studied during the academic course enables professionals to obtain, while attending a patient, all the information needed to provide the best possible care.

In order to train these skills, Virtual Pharmacy was developed. It's an interactive application that uses the Virtual Human to simulate cases of patient care in pharmacy. This application results from a research project conducted by an interdisciplinary team of researchers from the fields of Socio-Pharmacy and Computer Science.
